4th of July with The American Band

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than to learn everything you always wanted to know about The American Band...Grand Funk Railroad? Well there are probably lots of better ways to celebrate...but I needed a reason to post this record.

This is another one that I found over at wfmu's site. You know how some things are so bad that they become good? Well this record is so so bad that it passes by being good and goes right back to being bad again.

The title of this record should really be Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Terry Knight (Grand Funk's manager), being that 85% of the time the announcer, Ernie Tucker, is talking about him. This record was either funded by Terry Knight or Ernie Tucker had a huge man-crush on him. The worst part though is the lousy production. Ernie Tucker speaks at a breakneck pace without taking breaths or pauses and his voice is extremely grating and annoying – plus the horrible background music is way too high in the mix.

If this synopsis didn't scare you off and you're still interested...then here's...
